THE CLIMATE CRISIS IS A SPIRITUAL CRISIS: GES

The climate crisis is a spiritual crisis. Join Project Dandelion, Laudato Si’ Movement, Center for Earth Ethics, Women, Faith and Climate Network, TED Countdown, and the Baha'i International Community for an Interfaith Spirituality Session.

TIME & LOCATION

Nov 15, 2025, 2:20 PM – 3:30 PM GMT-3

TED Countdown House, Tv. Quintino Bocaiúva, 1696 - Reduto, Belém - PA, 66035-190, Brazil

At the half-way point of COP30, this interactive session explores how faith, spirituality, and moral imagination can drive courageous climate action. Through reflections, provocations, and dialogue, we will examine how people of all faiths—and none—can act meaningfully together even in a tough political landscape. Together, speakers, and the audience present, will help shape a Global Ethical Stocktake submission on the role of faith in building a just and regenerative future. Bring your mobile phones for active participation!

Structure: A moderated 90-minute participatory session featuring three guiding questions, each introduced by a short provocation from global faith leaders and followed by audience discussion and live input collection via Slido/Mentimetre or written reflections. The event opens with a moment of spiritual centering and closes with a collective call to action affirming the moral power of faith communities in shaping climate outcomes.
